Lotions are made with water and emulsifiers which require preservatives and synthetic ingredients to make them shelf stable. Because we don't use emulsifiers, preservatives, and stabilizers, this product will melt. Be sure to keep it cool. An easy way to judge a safe temperature is to treat it like a chocolate bar, if a chocolate bar will melt there, this body butter will melt there (think hot car, direct sunlight). If these butters melt, the texture will change but the product is still completely safe and perfectly fine to use.
Please note- These butters and oils may cause floors to become slippery, and an increased chance of sunburn, use caution.
