Hey there, we're so happy you found us!

I'm Jessica, the dreamer & creator of this little soap business, and of the family pictured below! Also pictured is my husband, Matt, and our two sons Nathan and Wyatt.  As you can see our boys are quite a few years apart, 16.5 years to be exact. We've found ourselves looking into half day preschools and 4 year universities simultaneously, which is not for the faint of heart.  We know we could be sippin' margaritas on a beach somewhere, but how boring would that get?!

Here's the story of how Cabin Fever came to be-

In a past life, I worked in the accounting field and as a family we did whatever we wanted with our teenager which was usually renting a cabin in the NC mountains. We skied in the winter and in the summer we'd white water raft down the beautiful NC rivers. We've worked very hard to be a debt free family, and our next goal was to own a little weekend mountain cabin in the woods (Hello, Cabin Fever!)

When we found out we were expecting our youngest, we were in a position to do things differently, so we did!  I left the corporate world to be a stay-at-home Mom for his first year or two, but our days weren't full of play dates, museum visits, and unlimited vacations like I had dreamed of. Our timing was off and COVID shut everything down and we were stuck inside, driving each other crazy (Hello, a different kind of Cabin Fever!)

It was during that time I discovered, fell in love, and became obsessed with soap making & researching everything I could find on herbal & natural healing and remedies. I made over a hundred unscented soap bases until I found the one my skin loves, and I've gotten tons of wonderful feedback from others that love it too!

Everything we put on our bodies goes into our bodies and I was able to build formulas and purposely choose each and every ingredient from our Earth to use on my family and we have been hooked since then. (And as it turns out- A worldwide pandemic creates a pretty great opportunity to encourage soap use!)

So our name came easy, "Cabin Fever Soap Co." because whether you're dreaming of a little cabin in the woods to escape this crazy fast paced world, or if you're a working parent, a stay-at-home parent, or anyone who is 'not so' patiently waiting on a few minutes of alone time after a demanding day, or maybe you just want to make sure you're using worry-free products on yourself and your family, you've come to the right place. **We are committed to using the BEST, most natural ingredients we can find on our family and yours. No artificial or synthetic colors, scents, micas, or preservatives, ever! While we're not perfect, we try to be as eco-friendly as possible and use plant based, plastic free alternatives when possible. 

**And for those asking about bath bombs, body butters, etc. I'm getting there!  The Mom/Small Business struggle is real, and I refuse to sell anything less than perfect. (And the debt free thing!) We'll get there!
